This year, Cara came up with the idea to paint the poster onto articles of clothing, so we traced the poster then cut the shapes out and did paint by a coding system onto a dress and high waisted skirt. We used our colors from the store to incorporate miostile into the design.

I love shopping online because it means I avoid lines at the register, searching through messy racks, the visual trauma of fanny packs and power walkers, and reliving my days of retail work. However, sometimes I wish I could have a helpful sales associate to look up questions like, "Does this dress come in a different color?" or "Can you get this in a different size?"

That is why I love Miostile. Not only does Miostile offer a well edited selection of my favorite designers (Madison Marcus, Mint by Jodi Arnold, Julie Haus, Dallin Chase, Loeffler Randall, and Lauren Moffatt) but it also is a veritable one-stop shop. It carries jewels and shoes so that an outfit can arrive at your doorstep ready-to-wear-out for any event. But, the cherry on Miostile's fashionable sundae (calorie free, may I add) is its AMAZING customer service. This is why Miostile is a major beneficiary of my shopping addiction.

On more than a few occasions I have asked a customer service rep at Miostile, via email, whether I can get a dress in a size not listed on the site or whether the supplier might offer it in a different color. And every time I have received a prompt and polite response. More often than not the site will contact the manufacturer and special order an item for you. And, as a girl who can't even manage to get a Starbucks employee to hold the whip, I think that kind of attention is noteworthy. Plus, use code "toutie" at checkout and receive 20% off your order! That's 20% more shoe money...

Buckle Up: It's Going to Be a Wild Ride!

The Miostile girls headed to LA on January 11 for a five-day buying trip extravaganza, and little did we know what sort of adventure was in store!

On the eve of our first round of appointments, we hit up Katsuya in Brentwood where we saw the Jeanne Tripplehorn from HBO's sinfully delightful Big Love. We had the best crispy rice with spicy tuna and Jalapeño peppers; we're so addicted, we wish we could eat it everyday! Afterward, we headed to the Viceroy in Santa Monica— where scenes of HBO's Entourage are filmed– for late night cocktails.

The next day, we made our way to downtown LA and got to work. We looked at scores of summer and pre-fall collections, and we picked up some spanking new lines like Augustine, Karoo, and Dwell jeans. Speaking of jeans, we saw two extremes: stirrups and super wide leg, high-waisted jeans. Our orders at Development and Ya Ya, and Mike and Chris looked amazing. They are so hot. Mini mod dresses and bubble hem jumpers will again be big for fall. Mark our words.

After all that work, we needed to quench our thirst so we headed straight to Hyde. Yes, Hyde. The one you read about everyday on Perez, TMZ, and PopSugar. You know, the place that denied both Tara Reid and Greasy Bear? Well, it's tiny (Charleston readers: think the size of Raval), but we sailed in thanks to "Cara Valentine + 3" on the guest list. We were given a table and enjoyed the scene for a bit before deciding to mix and mingle amidst the intimate bar. Guess who took over our table? John. Mayer.

Ben Silverman (Guilds' former boss) was with his buddy Ryan Seacrest, and they came over to say hello. Ryan and John put their heads together to chat for a bit, but we couldn't hear if they were discussing Jessica or not. Introductions were made all around, and by the end of the night, we'd rubbed elbows with Kate Bosworth, Sienna Miller, Kimberly Stewart, and Mario Lopez who had his Dancing with the Stars costar in tow. Ahem.

On Saturday night, after another full day of scouting trends and placing orders, we headed off to the The Ivy for a power dinner. Unfortunately, we were nonplussed by the food, so we skipped past the paparazzi perch and headed off to find more fun. We caught a cab and headed toward one of the city's hottest nightclubs: Area.

We soon discovered a line stretched as far as the eye could see, wrapping all the way around the block, but once again, "Cara Valentine + 3" jettisoned us through the door without so much as a 20 second delay— much to the dismay of the groupies shivering in line. Before long, we spotted club security setting up a special table that was cordoned off by red rope, and Lindsey Lohan sashayed past with her eclectic entourage, which seemed to include Scott Strotch and Brandon Davis. Who knows though, the Hollywood crowd is fickle, and everyone is falling all over themselves to get to the hottest spot. They could have all been there by happenstance.

Paris showed up with her BFF-de-jour Kim Kardashian, and hottie Stravos wasn't far behind. We hate to admit it, but he is totally hot in person. The DJ started spinning a bunch of Scott Storch's songs, which visibly pumped him up, and 15 bottles of Cristal with sparklers affixed to corks were ferried out of the kitchen. The cascading sparks triggered the smoke detectors, yet no one batted an eye. They simply gravitated toward the dance floor. Hot!

We definitely learned that the party never ends in Hollywood, it simply moves on to the next locale.

Sunday required a spot of rest and a quiet dinner with a producer. It was totally chill and we needed the rest since we spent Monday at...

Les Deux for the Golden Globes party in honor of Ugly Betty and The Office!

Like the rest of the world, we are enchanted by America who entered the party clutching her Golden Globe. We loved her vibe and could tell she was genuinely having the time of her life. We shared a really cute and awkward moment when she walked to our table and smiled in that "do I know you?" way. We immediately squealed our congratulations, and she thanked us-- she rocks! The rest of the cast, including Selma Hayek and Vanessa Williams, arrived soon after.

We rocked the party until we could hardly stand it, and then we crashed for a bit before catching our Monday morning flight back to Charleston. All in a day's work-- in Hollywood, that is!
